Staying in an Overwater Bungalow in Bora Bora

Are you looking to take a romantic Bora Bora honeymoon?  Have you and your loved one decided Bora Bora is the idyllic place you both have dreamed about?  If you have answered yes to either of these questions and have made the decision to travel here, then you are in for a once in a lifetime experience.  Not everyone gets the opportunity to travel here.  The long flight combined with pricey hotels and resorts does not make Bora Bora within everyone’s reach.  However, those who are lucky enough will see just how relaxing this island truly is.  You will also see why this island, or Providencia Island, have been revealed as the most romantic island in the world.

Bora Bora is one of the most popular French Polynesian islands.  It is located in the South Pacific and is approximately 11 square miles.  It has a small permanent population which means its’ main source of income is tourism.  The tropical climate makes it an ideal destination for any couple celebrating their new life together.

So what exactly attracts people to Bora Bora?  Besides the year round sunshine and warm weather, the island is most well known for its’ overwater bungalows.  These little huts are actually situated on stilts over the crystal clear turquoise lagoon below.  Many have private decks where you and your loved one can lay out in the sun.  When it gets too hot, simply take a dive into the water to cool off.

The bungalows offer a unique staying experience.  It is highly recommended to stay in one of these while in Bora Bora.  There is no question a night in one of these will be more expensive than a night at a resort on the beach, but where else will you ever get such an experience?  Not to mention, the intimacy level is amplified tenfold.

Some over water huts even have glass bottom floors.  Watch in amazement as tropical fish swim below and interact in their natural environment.  Obviously, rooms equipped with this special feature will demand a premium, but once again, you are in Bora Bora and you may never be fortunate to have this opportunity again.

For those on their honeymoon in Bora Bora, there is truly nothing else better in the world than watching the sun set off your private deck.  Listen to the gentle splash of waves and feel the cool breeze off the South Pacific.  Curl up next to your loved one, pop open a good bottle of wine and toast to the good life!  Or as they say in Italy, La Dolce Vita!
