Tesco

If I was to vote for the worst supermarket here in Dublin, it has to be Tesco. Nothing against them, but seriously, they are really bad. I don’t know if they have some special kind of training to makes they customers unsatisfied or if it is just my opinion. But I know, there are more people feeling the same way as myself.

I don’t shop in Tesco often, because I prefer Duness Stores. They are simply better and the quality is also much better then Tesco. I only stop in Tesco in the morning to buy my breakfast. Lately, even this is getting harder. There are two Tesco shops on my way to work which the one of them doesn’t understand that people are going to the work in the morning and are more likely to buy their breakfast on their way. This store particularly has no pastry at the morning at all. Every time I go to this particular store, there is no single piece of pastry. And that is at quarter to nine in the morning. Usually they don’t even started baking at that time. But hey, most of the people here in Dublin start their job at nine or earlier. So whom do they bake the pastry for???

The other Tesco store is better with pastry and has plenty every single morning. But lately, it has been hard to get bananas in the morning. It may sound silly, but there are quite a few people in the morning looking for bananas while the guy in the fruit and veg section is unpacking the peppers. And that happens often. Seriously, who is going to buy peppers in the morning???

But there is a one thing that annoy me most. The prices. In lots of cases the price on the shelf is different to the one you are acctually being charged at the till.  Of course the price you get at the till is greater than the one on the shelf.

I know it may all sound like silly little things, but it’s not only me. There are lots of people complaining abot the same. And I can tell, because I see them every single morning in Tesco store.

Rest, rest, rest…

Tuesday afternoon, and we can finally rest a little. Our friends, Lenicka and Zbynek left today, after they spent a few days with us in Dublin. I feel quite tired, but I have enjoyed their company. We spent a day in Howth, an afternoon in Powerscourt, a day in Greystones and Bray, and two afternoons at pitch & putt in Sandymount. On Saturday night, we went to Arlington Hotel for the dinner and for the Irish music and dancing. The evenning was great, and we really enjoyed it so as Lenicka and Zbynek.

We went to pitch & putt with Zbynek on Monday afternoon while Maja and Lenicka went shopping. Again, great afternoon at the course and that makes me want to play even more.
