Hot Air Balloon Flight

After almost a year of purchasing our Hot Air Balloon flight vouchers, and after couple of flight cancellations due to bad weather conditions, we have finally accomplished this wonderful experience.

As almost every time before, planning our weekend at a very last minute has proven to be the best decision once again. With an optimistic weather forecast for this weekend we have decided to try our luck and book ourselves on the hot air balloon flight for the fourth time. With previous three attempts cancelled due to bad weather, we were quite optimistic about this one. With only one available flight for this weekend (only one that was not fully booked) it wasn’t the hardest decision to make – Sunday 7AM in Trim it is.

Arriving in Trim on Saturday afternoon, the weather was just perfect. Nice sunny day with very light breeze – perfect day for the flight. After checking-in to White Lodge B&B, we spend the rest of the day wandering around the beautiful town of Trim.

The next day weather was the best we could imagine. Nice sunny morning, no wind at all. After meeting balloon people at some pub off Trim town, we hoped onto their minibus and headed to launch site just next to the beautiful Trim castle. To get balloon ready for flight took about an hour and was as impressive as the actual flight.

The flight last an hour and it was fantastic. We flew right above the Trim castle and kept ascent higher and higher. I cannot say how high we were (I am sure the pilot balloon mentioned this) as I was astound by this impressive panorama. I can only tell that the houses and trees were just tiny little things down there on the ground. It was an amazing experience and I am glad my wife organized this for us.
