What’s New?

After a couple of weeks of negotiation, the agreement has been reached between the Bank of Ireland and the Trade Unions on the issue relating to the Staff Stock Issue award.

I have been working in the bank for more than two years now. Part of our annual bonus is a Staff Stock Issue, a free stock we receive from the bank and opportunity to purchase an extra stock worth of the certain percentage of our annual salary.

I have come accross this interesting news this morning. To celebrate the 10-year anniversary of the launch of Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) and the creation of the euro, European officials have asked the public to vote on the design of a 2-euro coin.
