Planning Update
Finally a good news in relation to our Planning Permission. All the parties now reached some kind of agreement and are willing to sign the papers, allowing us to connect to the existing electricity net. We should know the fee we are going to pay at the end of this week and have a town principal signature by then too. Finally it’s moving forward again.
Ryanair
Ryanair, an irish low-cost airlines, one of Europe’s largest carriers with more than a 700 routes across the Europe. I flew with them couple of times, and they’re ok. But if I have an option to fly with someone else for reasonable price, I rather pay couple more € and fly with someone else. I don’t like their strict policy, cramped seating or overpriced on board sandwich. And with often lack of politeness from the cabin crew, Ryanair is not the kind of service I enjoy returning to. And some time I don’t have other choice. But hey, it is what you pay for, right?
They have announced six new routes from Forli in Italy and two new routes from Shannon Airport in Ireland. And that’s not all. Soon, you’ll have another annoyance to deal with on board of Ryanair flights – the sound of your neighbour bellowing into a phone: “Hi, I’m on the plane!”
With this new service and with Ryanair’s latest incidents like aircraft skidding off the runway or tale clipping during take-off or emergency landing following sudden loss of cabin pressure while 30,000 ft over France (in last two cases the oxygen masks didn’t work properly and in some cases didn’t deploy at all), Ryanair will not be my first choice airline for sure.
Ever felt like pulling a “sickie” and stay in the bed instead of going to work? Well, that could cause you your job.
Yeah, it is truth. Some of the bosses are using modern technology to spy on their employees using social networking websites such as Facebook to crack down on workers faking illness to get a day off. And it is proving a rather effective tactic. Workers have been disciplined for bogus sickness after employers discovered the real reason for their absence through Facebook.
So, next time you call “sick” and before you update your Facebook, remember your boss may know what you’re doing.

Greyhound Racing
Every year countless greyhounds around the world are exploited for profit in the name of entertainment and consequently sentenced to a brutal death.
At least 40,000 greyhounds are bred every year in Ireland and UK. Similar number are “disposed of” annually by the greyhound racing industry. Thousands of greyhound pups are put to death before the age of 12 months because they fail to reach racing standards. Read more
