Football and Fitness

The last two weeks, I have been playing football again after about six years. Guys in work decided to play regularly every week, and today was the second time we played.

I have to say that we only play for the laugh, nothing serious. It is a good way to stretch the muscles after a long day in the office. And I really need this. I am sitting in front of the computer for eight hours in work, and often I spend some time on the computer in the evening too, working on the websites.

I have enjoyed both of the games we played so far. After the first one, I felt every single muscle in my body for next four days. But, that is the price for my lack of fitness. I actually pay to be a member of the gym (even only weekend member) but I hardly go to the gym. I have joined the gym with intention to go swimming on weekends, but that only lasted for first two months. Now, it’s been almost two months since my last visit to gym. Time to start again.

Brazilian Sugar

We interpret the flavour of sugar as sweet. Sugar is a basic food carbohydrate made from sugar cane and sugar beet. Even though Brazil is the biggest producer of sugar, only about 50 percent of Brazilian Sugar cane crop is refined into sugar with the rest used for an ethanol production, representing 40 percent of all non-diesel fuel consumption.

Majority of the whole Brazil sugar cane crop comes from the Sao Paulo region. Even though Brazilians are well known for their love of sugar and consume vast amount of it every year, most of the sugar is exported worldwide, with United States, China and Argentina being the biggest purchasers.

Planning update

It’s been now more than three months, since I wrote about our planning permission. I have been on the phone with the guy, working on this on our behalf, every single week. He was waiting for more documents to be returned to him from various offices that we need to supply to the City Council. Together we needed about 10 more different verdicts and expertises on top of those we already have.

The bureaucracy in the whole planning process is unbelievable. Offices blaming each other for incomplete paperwork that has to be corrected before they can issue their statements, turnaround of almost every application at the latest possible day, loss of documents and more. These are just few of the troubles and stressful situations to deal with, while applying for the planning permission.

Today, I have finally heard some good news. We should have all the necessary documentation finally together, and the whole planning process should be started again on Monday, when all documentation will be supplied to the City Council. If everything go smooth, we could have the planning permission in two months.

Home Entertainment

A house, where the flames in the open fireplace in the bedroom react to command of a remote control, where the lights, blinds and air-condition are all controlled electronically by touch of a button and a home entertainment room to watch all the big sporting events, playing games and watching cartoons with kids or snuggling with glass of wine while watching the latest romantic comedies. That is a kind of house I have always dreamed of.

Days, when the only home entertainment system available was a wooden box radio with a cloth covered speaker filled with tubes and crystals are history. Loudspeakers with an elegant design and powerful sound performance standing on its aluminium foot or hanging directly on the wall connected to the highest resolution HD Television with the best possible picture quality maintaining a balance between pure technology and art, dominate these days.

My dream is a home theatre like these Precision Electronics Systems home theater Fort Worth systems that offers the best audio video components available today. Speakers, custom built into your wall, affordable sets designed and built for your office or family. A collection of sophisticated electronic gadgets, that together gives an amazing combination of great visual and sound.

Digital Photography

Digital cameras have added another dimension to the photography, the most accessible and rewarding of all forms of art. Because they give you the chance to review your images as you work, you can make instant corrections to exposure, composition and framing, so it should be possible to get the perfect picture every time. If you have a computer, the possibilities increase even further as you can create your own digital darkroom.

Good photographs tend to capture the spirit of subject by showing some of its features more strongly than others. To do this you need to take advantage of the fundamental elements of an image, emphasizing those that are most useful for the interpretation of the subject using composition and lighting.
